German and French in My Life
In this episode, I share my journey with German and French, two languages that marked different moments of my life. From my teenage fascination with German, a true “linguistic love at first sight” that pushed me to move to Germany and experience total immersion, to French, a lighter and more carefree “lover” that I encountered through university, travels, and chance meetings.
It’s a reflection on how languages transform us, open new worlds for us, and sometimes help us discover who we want to become.

Dopo l’inglese, oggi parlerò della mia esperienza con il tedesco e il francese.
Allora passiamo alla lingua numero due che è il tedesco. Ecco il tedesco, che è
entrato nella mia vita a 17 anni, per me ha simboleggiato un po’ la grande
passione, quell’amore molto intenso che poi però col tempo si è affievolito ed è
diventato un ricordo bello, una storia sicuramente che mi ha dato tanto, ma che
ha perso un po’ la centralità che ha avuto nella mia vita.

Allora come dicevo il tedesco è entrato quando avevo 17 anni, ovviamente l’avevo
già sentito parlare, era una lingua che mi era sempre piaciuta, anche se so che a
molte persone non piace, forse perché la sentono un po’ come una lingua dura,
un po’ come melodica, a me invece è sempre piaciuta proprio perché, non saprei,
perché la sentivo come una sfida, no? La sentivo una lingua lontana dall’italiano e
